Mascarpone is an Italian double or triple cream cheese that originated in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy during the Renaissance. It is best known as an essential ingredient in the classic dessert tiramisu, but its use extends well beyond sweets.

Ivory-coloured, exceptionally smooth, and easily spreadable, Mascarpone is fresh, milky, and slightly sweet. Its rich, buttery texture comes from a high butterfat content, which can be up to 75 percent, giving it a distinctive creamy mouthfeel and subtle flavour that adds indulgence to any dish.
