Philippe Foreau, the third generation in the Foreau family, continues the legacy of producing Vouvray from the esteemed domaine acquired by his grandfather in 1923. Taking over the domaine’s leadership in 1983 after his father André’s retirement, Philippe now oversees the 11.5 hectares of Chenin Blanc vineyards. Situated in the northeast corner of Vouvray, the Domaine du Clos Naudin vineyards enjoy a mid-hill position with a south exposure.
Firm and slender, this wine preserves the identity of its terroir while producing a very affordable wine. A slender and prominent backbone and notes of fresh herbs and citrus fruits make up this perfectly mastered wine, with just the right amount of fat and a beautiful saline freshness.
When opting for dry Vouvray, favour lighter pairings like salads, vegetables, white fish, and soufflé.
