Rove des Garrigues

Weight: 72

Cheese Type: Uncooked, Unpressed, soft cheese with natural rind

Roves des Garrigues is a wonderpiecey aromatic golf-ball sized goat’s cheese from Provence. Perhaps the ultimate taste of summer, it is perfect for salads and cheeseboards alike with a glass of light Rosé or of dry White wine.

Roves des Garrigues takes its name from the brown, long-horned goats used to produce the milk and the garrigue, or scrub on which they graze. Roves are bred for both their milk and their meat, making them a popular choice in this sparse landscape.

Unique and fresh, even melting in the mouth, this cheese will deliver aromatic flavours of thyme, lavender and other herbs typical of Provence, where the goats of the Rove breed eat. Cheese lovers will therefore appreciate the fresh and fragrant side that it will deliver once its (very short) maturing is complete.

Store in the fridge, wrapped in cheese paper, and consume within 2 weeks.
