H – Pouilly Fuissé AOC, Les Crays, Domaine Eric Forest, 2020

Weight: 750

Eric Forest, overseeing a vineyard handed down through eight generations, produces seven distinct cuvées of Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, and Mâcon-Vergisson from vine plots dating back to 1930 to 1979. Influenced by his grandfather, he embraces a philosophy of biodynamic viticulture. All vineyard work is manual, and he employs eco-friendly practices to nurture the soil. Eric’s meticulous approach to winemaking results in high-quality terroir-driven wines, a testament to his passion.

The aroma is marked by a strong presence of floral and citrus fruit notes that transition into a mineral-infused conclusion. On the palate, the wine boasts remarkable texture and substantial weight, offering a silky, buttery smoothness complemented by robust flavours that mirror the aromatic profile. The finish is extended, with delightful toffee undertones emerging.

An ideal pairing for risotto, seafood, as well as grilled or oven-roasted white meats.
