With a deep, dark ruby colour, the wine offers a bouquet of blackberries, violets, and a hint of smokiness from its barrel aging. The palate is structured yet silky, with layers of spice and a long, mineral-driven finish.
This Côte-Rôtie pairs excellently with roasted meats, particularly beef or duck, as well as strong cheeses. The vineyards of Côte-Rôtie, situated along the banks of the Rhône, are among the oldest in France, and their steep slopes create wines of remarkable depth and finesse.
