Weight: 220
Maturation: 3-5 days
Cheese Type: Uncooked, Unpressed cheese with a bloomy rind
Only produced by the Fromagerie du Pain d’Avaine since 1998, Crémeux du Mont Saint-Michel is named after the famous Normand Abbey.
The cheese is made from Normand cow’s milk and supplemented with farmhouse Normand fresh cream, putting it in the double-cream cheese category.
On the palate, the bloomy rind will have this creamy, gooey taste in the border and a mousse texture in the centre. Mushroomy, lactic, and grassy, it is easily spreadable and can please every member of your family. Perfect paired with a sparkling wine!
Wine Pairing:
Red wines (Bordeaux)
White wines (Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris)
Sparkling wines (Champagne, Prosecco)
