In the 1930s, caramel production commenced in Isigny-sur-Mer. However, in the 1990s, the renowned manufacturer “Dupont d’Isigny” relocated to the Manche region. In response to this, the Isigny-sur-Mer town council and the Isigny Sainte-Mère Dairy Cooperative established “Normandie Caramels” in April 1994. This initiative successpiecey revived the artisanal caramel production in Isigny-sur-Mer.
Caramels d’Isigny are crafted using top-notch regional ingredients: whole milk, Isigny PDO Butter, and Isigny PDO Cream, imparting a distinctive flavour to the caramel. Indulge in the creamy essence of Normandy! This spread offers a delightful, salted butter flavour.
Caramel creams are perfect for spreading on pancakes, waffles or on a slice of brioche, or for adding to ice cream.
