Cancoillotte Fermiere with Savagnin “Selection Janier”

Weight: 250

Maturation: 15 days

Cheese Type: Melted cheese

Cancoillotte is a French cheese originating from the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. It is believed that this cow’s milk cheese with a thick and creamy texture first appeared more than 2,000 years ago. Originally, the cheese was called fromage fondu (melted cheese) and fromage de femme (housewife’s cheese).

Enjoy its smooth and creamy texture. This traditional French cheese is known for its lightness and delicate flavour. Made from cow’s milk, this soft cheese is slightly tangy and melts perfectly on the palate, offering a subtle yet satisfying experience. A little twist is added to the flavour with the addition of Savagnin wine in the mix.

Ideal for spreading on fresh bread or serving warm over potatoes, Cancoillotte is a versatile and comforting choice for any meal. It pairs beautifully with charcuterie, grilled meats, or even as a dip for vegetables. Serve it warm to enhance its creamy and smooth texture.

The cancoillotte can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
