C – Côtes du Jura AOC, Vin Jaune, Domaine Badoz, 2016

– Médaille Silver Decanter World Wine Awards 2023

Domaine Badoz is a family-owned winery that has been producing wines since 1659 in Poligny, located in the heart of the Jura vineyards. Now in its tenth generation, the family combines centuries of tradition with modern expertise to craft wines that truly express the unique terroir of Jura.

Experience the exceptional Côtes du Jura AOC, Vin Jaune, regarded among the finest French wines. Made exclusively from the Savagnin grape grown on blue Jura clay, it is aged for 6 years and 3 months in oak barrels without topping up, allowing a natural yeast layer to develop. This unique aging imparts distinctive spicy aromas of nuts, almonds, and curry.

On the palate, Vin Jaune offers complex notes of morels, fresh walnuts, and a delicate hint of curry, with a beautifully balanced, full-bodied profile. Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs brilliantly with Comté and walnuts, creamy dishes, salmon, strong cheeses, and even dark chocolate.

Serve at room temperature, around 16 °C, after letting it breathe for 2 hours.
