Prime rib is a premium beef cut prized for its tenderness, juiciness, and deep flavour. Sourced from 100% Natural Angus Certified cattle, this cut comes from the rib section where the muscle is lightly worked, resulting in a naturally tender texture. A rich marbling throughout the meat and a generous fat cap contribute to its full-bodied, beef-forward taste.

Often reserved for special occasions or centrepiece roasts, prime rib can be prepared in various ways—roasted whole for a classic presentation or portioned into thick steaks for grilling or pan-searing. Its balance of fat and lean makes it both indulgent and satisfying.

Cooking instructions:

  1. Bring to room temperature 1 hour before cooking.
  2. Preheat oven to 230°C (450°F).
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
  4. Roast fat-side up for 15 minutes, then reduce to 160°C (320°F) and cook to desired doneness.
  5. Rest for 20–30 minutes before slicing.

How to eat?

Roasting in the oven at a high temperature to get a nice outer crust, and then finish cooking at a lower temp, or slow roast in the oven and sear the meat at the end. Can also be cooked on the grill. Limited ingredients with simple flavours are best to enjoy this special cut of meat to its fullest.
