Originally from Switzerland, the Frey family settled in Dambach-la-Ville at the beginning of the 18th century with the ambition of growing vine. Pioneer of Organic Agriculture and Biodynamics in Alsace, the Charles Frey family Estate has 14 hectares of property that can rely on remarkable terroirs such as Frauenberg, Victoriasberg, Grand Cru Frankstein or Blettig.
Granite cuvée displays a pale yellow dress with a typical taste of Alsace AOC. Dry, pure, with a great delicacy around citrus notes of bergamot and elderflower. Its minerality and outstanding freshness on the finish are recognized in pairing with smoky fishes and meats, and rich cuisines such as Chinese food and Japanese sushis.
In Alsace, Riesling covers a wide range of wines from sweet to stone-dry, and can even be used along other grapes to create sparkling wine, called Crémant d’Alsace.
