Valpolicella Ripasso DOC, Sausto’, Monte dall’Ora, 2019

Located in Castellroto, in the hills outside of Verona, the vineyards of Monte dall’Ora are planted on a base of limestone soil and form a natural amphitheatre facing southeast towards the city. In fact, a part of the vineyards is planted on ancient dry stone terraces called “Marogna”, composed by fossils and petrified shells, it allows for excellent drainage and deep penetration of the vines.

A medium-bodied still red wine with warm and smoky aromas, this Ripasso is very pleasant on the palate. Deep and intense with a persistent finish, the notes of black fruits and light spices balance greatly with a velvety texture. A very good pairing with the Roccolino as well.
