Fromagerie Baechler – a Swiss cheesemaking family established in Aquitaine in 1928 – transformed abandoned army barracks in Lot-et-Garonne into their dairy after discovering scarce local cheese production. For over 90 years, they have crafted exceptional cheeses like Templais Fleuron using milk from trusted local farms, preserving deep-rooted traditions.

This pasteurized cow’s milk cheese boasts an award-winning pedigree: gold at the 2009 Concours Général Agricole de Paris, silver at the same competition in 2018, and gold at the 2022 Saveurs de Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Templais Fleuron reveals a natural golden hue with a hard, brittle texture that crumbles elegantly. Its fruity aroma unfolds into a complex palate of savoury richness, subtle floral notes, and distinct hazelnut undertones.

Softer and milder than Parmigiano Reggiano, it’s excellent grated, elevates cheese boards, and pairs beautifully with white wines like Bordeaux Blanc AOC Château de Ricaud or Entre-Deux-Mers AOC Cuvée Clémence, as well as crusty bread and fresh fruit.
