Mandarin, Orri from Spain – Mouneyrac

Weight: 500

Explore the pinnacle of Limoux whites with the 2017 Grand Vin Blanc from Domaine de Baron’arques, the last favourite of the late Baroness Philippine de Rothschild. Acquired in 1998 and entirely renovated under the Rothschild family’s guidance, this historic estate, once belonging to the Abbey of Saint‑Polycarpe, has become a benchmark for the appellation. This exceptional Chardonnay, aged for 12 months in French oak, is a wine of great finesse and structure. The 2017 vintage, awarded one star by the Guide Hachette, is now at its peak, offering a harmonious and mature expression of this famed terroir.

  • Tasting Notes: A mature and beautifully clear white wine with a nose of great finesse, revealing delicate notes of ripe fruit, pineapple, and citrus, all harmoniously integrated with subtle oak. The palate is rich and ample, with a beautiful acidity that lends freshness and a long, elegant finish.
  • Serving Suggestions: Perfect for special occasions, pair this wine with fine seafood, roast poultry in a creamy sauce, or a selection of mature, characterful cheeses. Ideal drinking window: now through 2026. Serve at 10–12 °C.
