GOLD MEDAL Concours Général Agricole de Paris 2018
Passionate about vine and wine, the women of Château Prieuré Lagrave have been wine growers from mother to daughter for five generations. Today, Hélène Durand and her daughter Amélie conduct their vineyard in accordance with long-standing tradition. The family home, a beautiful chartreuse which was once a monastery dating from the seventeenth century, is at the centre of the estate. The vineyards extend around it, on a gravelly outcrop enjoying exceptional exposure. Château Prieuré Lagrave, are very feminine wines: wines of both character and elegance
Château Prieuré Lagrave crafts wines characterized by their rich, deep red hue and an enticing aromatic blend of berries, predominantly blackcurrants, and subtle spices. On the palate, these wines offer a rounded and velvety texture, accompanied by seamlessly integrated tannins, showcasing the finesse and elegance that one anticipates in a Grand Vin meticulously produced by women.
This wine complements creamy cheeses like Brie, Camembert, or Brillat-Savarin exceptionally.
