The Gorgonzola and Mascarpone “Duetto” produced by Mauri Formaggi, is a soft cheese made with pasteurized cow’s milk, born from the union of two of the most beloved and tastiest cheeses of the Italian tradition: gorgonzola, with an aromatic and characteristic taste, and the mascarpone, soft, fresh and delicate.
Its colour is that of the pure white of the mascarpone but mottled by the development of grey/green mold typical of gorgonzola. Its consistency is creamy and spreadable, its taste is soft and round.
The “Duetto” can be served in different ways: for example, spread on a slice of bread, as a filling for sandwiches, possibly combined with speck or walnuts, or even with cream, chilli or pine nuts. It can also be made into a mousse, to be served in combination with appetizers or appetizers.
Store in the fridge and consume within a few weeks of purchasing for optimal freshness and flavour.
