Duetto Gorgonzola & Mascarpone

Weight: 200

Cheese Type: Uncooked, Unpressed Blue vein cheese

The Gorgonzola and Mascarpone “Duetto” produced by Mauri Formaggi, is a soft cheese made with pasteurized cow’s milk, born from the union of two of the most beloved and tastiest cheeses of the Italian tradition: gorgonzola, with an aromatic and characteristic taste, and the mascarpone, soft, fresh and delicate.

Its colour is the pure white of the mascarpone but mottled by the development of grey/green mold typical of gorgonzola. Its consistency is creamy and spreadable, its taste is soft and round.

The “Duetto” can be served in different ways: for example, spread on a slice of bread, as a filling for sandwiches, possibly combined with speck or walnuts, or even with cream, chilli or pine nuts. It can also be made into a mousse, to be served in combination with appetizers.

Store in the fridge and consume within a few weeks of purchasing for optimal freshness and flavour.
