Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux AOC, Château Roquevieille, 2019

Situated as an extension of the plateau of Saint-Émilion, atop one of the highest points in Gironde and facing south, Château Roquevieille benefits from a privileged location known for producing ‘Côtes’ wines. The estate comprises around twenty hectares of land on a magnificent clay-limestone plateau, which is one of the most exceptional terroirs in the Bordeaux region. Château Roquevieille places a particular emphasis on environmental preservation in all of its farming practices.

The aroma presents a delicate concentration and refreshing quality, featuring hints of blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries. On the palate, it’s a harmonious blend of fruitiness and mineral character, striking a well-balanced chord and delivering a sense of freshness. The wine unfolds flavours of strawberries, raspberries, and subtle plum undertones, accompanied by delicate notes of lilac, violet, and sweet spices. It boasts a pleasingly lingering finish.

It pairs perfectly with red or white meats, as well as a cheese platter.
