Nestled in the heart of the Champagne vineyards, the village of Les Riceys is known for its exceptional terroir and the finesse of its wines. The Defrance family has been cultivating prestigious parcels here for over a century. Since 1979, Joel Defrance has led the estate. Under his leadership, production expanded and the estate was modernized. In 2005, his two sons, Aurélien and Alexis, joined him, marking the fifth generation of the family dedicated to winemaking.
Ths Prestige Cuvée is a blend of their finest vintages. It pours a bright straw-yellow hue with delicate, persistent bubbles. The nose reveals fresh aromas of white fruits and crisp apple, while the palate is dry and mineral-driven, layered with ripe fruit flavours.
It pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. It complements seafood such as salmon and tuna, enhancing their taste with its bright acidity and effervescence. It also pairs well with soft cheeses like Camembert and Brie, balancing their richness. Additionally, it works wonderfully with herb-roasted chicken, charcuterie boards, and fresh salads.
