Domaine Lejeune can trace its history back as far as 1783, and no wonder the target is to fashion Pommard in the traditional style, with a solid potential for cellaring and ageing. The method of vinification is ancestral, the grapes are trodden by foot and the wines are neither fined nor filtered before bottling.
Its fruitiness gives it a lovely crunch and an approach that is not overly complicated, yet the structure with medium tannins and acidity makes it a great pick for everyday consumption. The persistence is very pleasant and clearly indicates the proximity with his elder brother, Pommard.
A delicious and affordable gem where underbrush and forest-feeling gives some deepness to nicely accompany a meal, with a potential to age another 2 to 5 years.
