Since 1870, the Francisco family has crafted exceptional wines at Château Côtes de Blaignan, located in the prestigious Médoc Peninsula—a renowned red wine region 60 km north of Bordeaux. In 2010, the estate’s management passed to Stéphanie and Claude, the fifth generation, who meticulously tend the 32-hectare vineyard with hands-on care, including canopy management and precise harvest selection.
This wine exhibits a dense, inky core with a hint of purple. Its bouquet reveals roasted notes of new oak, coffee bean, dark plum, cherry, and black currant. On the palate, it is poised and polished, featuring youthful grainy tannins, elegant oak, butterscotch, fresh berry fruit, cassis, and subtle spice, all leading to a lingering finish.
Ideal to pair with creamy cheeses such as Brie or Camembert. This wine also goes very well with beef.
