This white wine is a mountain gem. It pours pale gold with a crisp, floral nose of acacia and lemon zest. On the palate, it’s dry and lively, with white peach, hazelnut, and a distinct mineral, almost smoky, finish. The Altesse grape shines here—elegant, not heavy, with a lingering, salty tang.
From the steep slopes of Montmélian, this AOC Roussette de Savoie is crafted by Domaine Maréchal. The Altesse variety thrives on limestone and marl, giving the wine its signature finesse. Aged partly in old oak for texture, it captures alpine terroir—fresh, age-worthy, and utterly honest.
Pair with Tomme de Savoie or crayfish in cream. Serve chilled with fondue, herb-roasted chicken, or walnut tart. Also perfect with sushi or mild goat cheese. For a local feast, sip alongside Beaufort and crusty bread. Drink young or cellar for 3–5 years. Open 10 minutes before serving.
