Natacha Chave, sister of renowned winemaker Yann Chave, crafts Aléofane Syrah (“gem of truth”) from small Saint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage plots she acquired independently. Debut vintage 2004, all vineyard work is hand-conducted with organic practices.
On the nose, intense red and black fruit with pepper notes. The palate reveals ample, supple blackberry, cherry, and floral violet touches—beautifully finesse-driven, complex, with persistent finish.
Ideal pairing for red meats like beef and lamb, or local Saint-Félicien and Saint-Marcellin cheeses.
