Fixin AOC, La Place, Domaine Gérard Seguin, 2021

This Fixin on allocation is good to be drunk now but also shows potential for ageing.

Fixin AOC La Place Gerard Seguin is produced in the Burgundy region in France, and it is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, which are carepiecey selected and grown in the region’s unique climate and terroir.

Every sip of this red wine will transport you to the time of chivalry and panache. It has a bright ruby colour and a complex aroma that includes notes of cherries and raspberries, along with hints of earthy spices and herbs. On the palate, it has velvety texture and flavours of ripe fruit. The finish is long and satisfying, with a pleasant aftertaste.

It is a versatile wine that pairs well with a wide range of dishes, including grilled meats, roasted poultry, and hearty stews. It is also an excellent choice for cheese plates, particularly those featuring Brie, Camembert or a perfect spot on for our Cheese of the Month, Maroilles.
