An exceptional Pouilly-Fumé from the Redde family. The Sauvignon grapes in this cuvée are grown on the domain’s new vineyard plot located on a former red flint quarry, named after the crowbars used to dig over and plant the vineyard. Barre à Mine literally means “Crowbar”, which was used (along with dynamite ) to plow the very rocky soil of the plots of this great and mineral cuvée.
The robe is light yellow, clear and shiny. The nose has a strong minerality that goes along with exquisite citrus and flowers flavours, tending to exotic notes. In the mouth, the aromas are even more vivid with a well balanced finish that lingers long after the sip.
A real treat to enjoy on seafood and fish dishes as well as goat and aged cheeses.
